Did anyone use tetracycline for Psoriasis?

My Psoriasis is so bad the dr put me on 1,000mg of Tetracycline a day and has me using Lidex cream 3 times a day.
He told me to go in the sun for 2-3 min a day too.
I had terrible swelling from the knees down and feet, dr said it is from the psoriasis too. It is giving me terrible shin pain.
It’s been 5 days so far and no results. How long does this take to show some signs?
Has anyone else used this treatment? Did it work at all?
I’ve had Psoriasis for 23 years and it has never been like this before. Thanks in advance!

I used to have severe psoriasis from head to toe even on my face and the backs of my hands. I tried everything the dr gave me and nothing helped. finally he put me in a light box, and the first time i burned but I noticed about 2 days later it was startin to fade but the dr didn’t want me to burn for fear of skin cancer. so he only let me do it for a few seconds, but that wasn’t helping so I said screw it I’ll save myself some money and burn at home. which I did once a week for about a month. Now i am psoriasis free.

I have craters and a few reddish brownish marks from acne. I also have bumpy skin left over from popping too many zits on my nose.

I tried out that stuff before and to be completely honest, it didn’t work very well for me. THE BEST product I have found though suprisingly, is burts bees!!!! I have used it and it is effective. It should help get rid of some of the dullness you are experiencing, however it doesn’t do the same thing that you would get if you went to a dermatologist for microdermabrasion. You may also want to try a facial moisturizer with salicylic acid in it to help get rid of some of the dullness.
