Cure My Psoriasis

Cure My Psoriasis
Is there any cure for psoriasis?

It’s like where you get little red bumps all over, and they never go away. I’m thirteen, and I’ve had them all my life. They’re on my arms (mostly upper), and a little on my cheeks near my jaw. It’s really annoying. I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to stop this. I obviously can’t have plastic surgery, and I need something my parents would approve of.

Thank you, and God bless!
I think the sun is what causes it, so that’s pretty much out.
What I meant to say, was that it makes it worse.

There is no cure for psoriasis, not yet. But there are ways to control it.
The main cause of psoriasis is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and sea food which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I’ve turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use herbal remedies from serenaskin.com, which aim at the root of the disease – the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with anti-psoriasis extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.

What Psoriasis Really Is! Psoriasis Treatment: Cure Psoriasis Easily, Naturally

The National Psoriasis Foundation  is the United States’ leading patient-driven,nonprofit advocacy organization that serves the estimated 7.5 million Americans affected by psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes itchy or sore patches of thick, red skin with silvery scales. You usually get them on your elbows, knees, scalp, back, face, palms and feet, but they can show up on other parts of your body. A problem with your immune system causes psoriasis. In a process called cell turnover, skin cells that grow deep in your skin rise to the surface. Normally, this takes a month. In psoriasis, it happens in just days because your cells rise too fast.

Psoriasis can last a long time, even a lifetime. Symptoms come and go. Things that make them worse include

* Infections
* Stress
* Dry skin
* Certain medicines

When do people get psoriasis?

The disease can develop at any age beginning from infancy until old age. Although most people who have it will develop it between the ages of 15 and 30 and about 75 percent of people develop the disease before they reach the age of 40. There are also many others who develop the condition at between 50 and 60 years of age.

Types of psoriasis

Different types of psoriasis may be treated differently. Find out what type of psoriasis you have.
* Plaque psoriasis (psoriasis vulgaris)
* Guttate psoriasis
* Inverse psoriasis
* Pustular psoriasis
* Erythrodermic psoriasis
* Palmo-plantar psoriasis
* Scalp
* Psoriasis of the nails

The most common type of the disease is the Plaque that affects over 80 percent of the sufferers. The most visible symptoms of plaque psoriasis are some thick, scaly skin whose color may be anything from white, silvery or red. Although these patches thatare called plaques can appear anywhere in the skin, they are most common around the knees, elbows, scalp and lower back.

If your doctor determines that you have psoriasis, he or she will give you information about the type of psoriasis you have and recommend a course of treatment for the itchy, flaking skin and other symptoms. You will probably have additional questions and concerns about psoriasis.

Difference Eczema And Psoriasis

What’s the difference between psoriasis and eczema?

I have a rash on my neck, and I’ve narrowed it down to these two skin problems, but how do I know which one I have? They both sound practically the same to me. Here are my symptoms though.

I’m a 20 year old woman, about 140 lbs. The rash is right on the back of my neck on the hairline. It looks like a red, raised patch of skin that is dry and itchy, sometimes with flakiness. I don’t have any bumps, just the patch of skin. I’ve had it now for about a few weeks. it will start to feel better one day, then all of a sudden it will flare up again.

I put some ointment on it, which helps, though it’s still itchy. Would taking an allergy medicine help? What other ointments can help?

Doesn’t sound like eczema; Eczema usually appears as a rash, but with many bumps and little fluid-like blisters.
But for the itching in general, use any creams (I don’t recommend using ointments, most don’t allow your skin to breathe) that contain hydro cortisone. I use a cream called “cortaid,” it contains the hydro cortisone and it also contain steroids for the inflammation. I use it for any itching that I get from eczema; and I’m sure if you had either of the two conditions it would work just as well. You can pick up any cream that contains hydro cortisone and it would work. Allergy medication would work just as well for the itching too, in fact combining the two and using them simultaneously may be able to rid you of your rash.
