Topical Prescription For Acne
which topical acne medications can be used together?
I have prescriptions for several but don’t know whether I should be using them all at once, my doctor said eryacne in the morning and differin at night is fine, but now i have retin A as well and I don’t know where that fits in. should I be using Retin A and differin together? Or retin A and eryacne? (not at the same time, i mean one in the morning and one at night when i say this) or should i be using Retin A twice a day maybe or is that too full on considering it peels your skin off?
Thanks for any info you might have!
I suggest not to use any topical acne medication during daytime. You are supposed to use these only in the night (or when you are indoors) preferably before going to bed. They work best when you are asleep and away from pollution and dust. Moreover, use a good sunscreen in daytime as topical acne lotions make the skin sensitive to sun. If you stay in sunlight for more than an hour or so, your skin will get red and it will cause more acne.
Retin A is a strong one. It will dry out your skin. Do not wear this when you are going in sun. It will cause redness, swelling and more eruptions.
Try using Erytop (erythromycin) every night. This helped me alot for my skin condition. Though I still get a couple of pimples now and then as Erytop stopped working after 5 years of continued usage. Still, I recommend you to use this one. It worked very well for me.
Hope I could help!
