Skin Condition From Stress

Skin Condition From Stress
Why do I itch constantly – hair and skin – & what can I do to get relief that’s fairly inexpensive?

My feet and legs itch, my scalp itches, my arms, my hands, & sometimes even my face – a lot of times I feel like I’m clawing myself from head to toe. I’ve tried creams and shampoos; very short relief from them but also benadryl.

I’ve got a lot of stress in my life right now; could this be a cause? I am on anti-depressants. I am also diabetic; could this be a cause of dry, dry skin and scalp?

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

If you have had similar conditions, please let me hear from you especially if you have found any solutions.

You might be having an allergic reaction to the antidepressants. My daughter got itchy hives from them.

It sounds like you need to see a doctor.

Hope you feel better!

Difference Eczema And Psoriasis

What’s the difference between psoriasis and eczema?

I have a rash on my neck, and I’ve narrowed it down to these two skin problems, but how do I know which one I have? They both sound practically the same to me. Here are my symptoms though.

I’m a 20 year old woman, about 140 lbs. The rash is right on the back of my neck on the hairline. It looks like a red, raised patch of skin that is dry and itchy, sometimes with flakiness. I don’t have any bumps, just the patch of skin. I’ve had it now for about a few weeks. it will start to feel better one day, then all of a sudden it will flare up again.

I put some ointment on it, which helps, though it’s still itchy. Would taking an allergy medicine help? What other ointments can help?

Doesn’t sound like eczema; Eczema usually appears as a rash, but with many bumps and little fluid-like blisters.
But for the itching in general, use any creams (I don’t recommend using ointments, most don’t allow your skin to breathe) that contain hydro cortisone. I use a cream called “cortaid,” it contains the hydro cortisone and it also contain steroids for the inflammation. I use it for any itching that I get from eczema; and I’m sure if you had either of the two conditions it would work just as well. You can pick up any cream that contains hydro cortisone and it would work. Allergy medication would work just as well for the itching too, in fact combining the two and using them simultaneously may be able to rid you of your rash.

Psoriasis Or Ringworm

Psoriasis Or Ringworm
Eczema…ringworm….psoriasis?

So, about 2 weeks ago I noticed a few areas on my stomach and ribs and chest that were dry and rough and red. They don’t itch or hurt or anything. They’re just there, and I know they’re there, and they bug me. I went to the doctor for some other stuff on Monday and had him look at these spots too. He said they look like ring worm or eczema but they aren’t really circular or big enough for ringworm. I’ve tried lotions, different soaps, cortisone/hydrocortisone creams, and a gel like cream for cuts/scrapes/burns/dermatitis/ulcers/etc. Nothing seems to work or anything. The spots are still there and every day I notice more on my stomach chest or back. My doctor said if they don’t go away in a week or so I should call him again. I can’t keep affording all these visits though. I have enough other problems than these spots, but I don’t know if they’re infectious or contageous or anything. Otherwise I’d just who cares and ignore them. What do you think?

I found this site very helpful for
psoriasis treatment.
