I get acne on my back and chest, and it’s so embarrassing. I’ve tried a couple of things, but can anyone recommend some products that have worked well for them, or that they know work well?
Hey, try using: Neutrogena Rapid Clear Treatment Pads. They are easy to use and take no time to apply. All you have to do is just wipe one on your chest and back every morning and night and your annoying pimples should be gone in no time. Also just scrub your back and chest when your in the shower.

Okay. Sooo. Im tired of using foundation. Im only 15 & I don’t want to get early wrinkles.I have a lot of redness & about 20 pimples total. I have dry skin, but it tends to get oily around my nose. Basically all of it is on my cheeks. Any homemade recipes. I know ground Cinnamon and pure honey & tea tree oil help.. well I used it.. and it didn’t clear up. I’ve also used lemon juice & smashed banana. I use the Acne Free 3 step, and its terrible! Doesn’t work at all! please help?(:
I use a cream called Brevoxyl (There’s also a stronger form called Panoxyl). Basically, any cream with benzoyl peroxide in helps to kill the bacteria that cause spots, and dry up excess oils. I seriously don’t know what i’d do without it. I use it every morning and evening, and you start to see effects after about 2-3 weeks. I also just use a face scrub to prevent blackheads and pores blocked with oil, which really helps too. Finally, I use a tea tree spot stick, on any individual spots which are particuarly large.
If you are looking for cheap and easy solutions, make sure you use a face scrub (any price) to unblock pores, and if you can’t find a cream or spot stick, use toothpaste to dry up large, oily spots.
This certainly works for me, and I think I have a similar skin type to you, so give it a go, and if possible, I strongly recommend a Benzoyl Peroxide based cream (about £4-5)

Be careful to whom you listen. It is not caused by chocolate candy or tomato’s or anything you eat. Washing our face a hundred times a day just dries out your skin. It is caused by heredity. Bacteria, known as Propionibacterium acnes, is a normal inhabitant of the skin. It uses sebum as a nutrient for growth, and therefore increases in follicles during puberty. People with acne have more Propionibacterium acnes in their follicles than people without acne. The presence of bacteria attracts white blood cells to the follicle. These white blood cells produce an enzyme that damages the wall of the follicle, allowing the contents of the follicle to enter the dermis. This process causes an inflammatory response seen as papules (red bumps), pustules, and nodules. The bacteria also cause the formation of free fatty acids, which are irritants, increasing the inflammatory process in the follicle.
The washes you see really do little if anything but you can try Accutane (keeping in mind there have been problems with it-mental problems and suicide).
Antibiotics work by several mechanisms. The most important is the decrease in the number of bacteria in and around the follicle. Antibiotics also work by reducing the irritating chemicals produced by white blood cells.
Finally, antibiotics reduce the concentration of free fatty acids in the sebum, also reducing the inflammatory response. The most frequently used antibiotics for acne are: Tetracycline, Erythromycin, Minocycline, Doxycycline and Clindamycin.
The only other thing “I” would recommend is Retin-A and it is not going to do what you want it to do. However, trust me when I say these washes do and can not work!
