Gluten Allergy Acne

Gluten Allergy Acne
Looking for herbal remedies for PCOS in 19yr old girl. On Yasmine, fish oil, SameE, MultiVit, insulex, calcium

My daughter has put on a lot of weight recently. A scan showed a number of follicles, but not cysts yet. Her androgen was high, but not outrageous. She has severe acne. She also appears to have insulin resistance. She is eating a low GI & gluten free diet (GFree due to family allergies/intolerances & advice by a naturopath). She is quite depressed, snappy & very moody. She used to be very easy going, but is not anymore. The problem has been recently diagnosed. I have heard that liquorice & peony root is good. Does anyone know of any other herbal things or homeopathic things that can help. The multivitamin she is on is specifically for women & high in chromium & other minerals.
Thank you, Kerry

I’m 19 and have PCOS too. Some remedies for it are birth control pills and metformin helps with period pain and insulin resistance. I find that taking a vitamin B complex supplement helps with the insulin resistance as far as weight loss. Exercise helps too. Herbal supplements that work are agnes castus is suppossed to help with irregualr or painful periods, sarsaparilla, white peony combined with licorice, chinese angelica, blue cohosh, motherwort, and nettle ( help counter high androgen levels). There’s a great book that you should get. Managing PCOS For Dummies

Eczema Celiac Disease

Eczema Celiac Disease
People with celiac disease – does this sound bad?

I haven’t been tested for it yet, but I have a lot of the symptoms.
-rash (dermatitis herpetiformis or something like that) on the elbow
-change in behavior: VERY irritable
-Tired all the time…it doesn’t matter how much sleep I get
-Nausea feeling – and sometimes abdominal pain
-Increased appetite
-Bloating
-Irregular periods: I just had a period for the first time in over four months

I am almost positive (and so is the dermatologist) that I at least have the rash that means I have some sort of gluten allergy. I tried several different medicines for eczema, several for psoriasis, and I just tried topical steroids twice a day for two weeks. They made a big difference while I was using them, but the rash came right back when I stopped.

Does this sound at all like celiac disease?

Thanks for your help

With my Celiac, I’ve never had a rash, and when I consume gluten, I get a burning feeling in my stomach for about 24 hours or however long it takes to get out of my system.

Is It Eczema or Celiacs symptom?
