Is it a good idea to use a facial steamer for cystic acne?
I really want to start a new routine (AGAIN) for my face. I am 25 and still have acne and also bad cystic acne. I have tried EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING- from antibiotics to specific acne cleansers to natural soaps. I was going to get a facial steamer with some witch hazel (to help with oily skin) and try to really clean out my pores. I think that is one of the problems. I tend to have really oily skin. But then I read a post from someone who has cystic acne and they said their acne just swelled up even more and I DON’T want that to happen. Is there anyone out there that has knowledge of actual cures and could give some good advice besides going to the derm dr for Acutane? Thank you in advance!!
Im a trained beauty therapist and during training we were told that we could use facial steamers on spot prone skin to open the pores to allow easy extraction of the spots, but this will initially redden the skin and make it look a lot worse?
I’ve never had a client with cystic acne before so i wouldn’t want to recommend something that is going to make it worse?
Have you tried having weekly facials at a salon that uses natural products? Or even changing your diet?
Diets high in fats etc can make your skin a lot oiler than normal?
If you are really worried you could always book an appointment with a dermatologist to see if they can find the initial problem??

Skin bleaching kits for acne scars?
Until recently,I’ve been cursed with severe adult acne,and when I got that under control,I find that I now have mild-to-severe acne scarring all over my face.I used mederma for about eight weeks,but that didn’t really do anything and it didn’t mix well with my oily skin,and I’m not even going to bother with bio-oil(again,because of oily skin.).
What I really want to try is a skin bleaching cream.I don’t have depressed or raised scars,they’re just the little brown and red spots,like hyperpigmentation(which I could live with if they where lighter or fewer in numbers).
So I guess my questions are:
1.Can a skin bleaching cream be used to treat my hyperpigmentation acne scars?
2.Has anyone here seen results on their scars from skin bleaching cream?
and 3.Can anyone recommend a good skin bleaching cream?

What is a cheap, yet effective cleanser that will clear up my skin, without ordering it across country?
Im 13 years old and i have had the same problem for awhile. I have quite alot of small blemishes ( the occasional “beast”) but whenever I get a new cleanser it doesn’t work well! right now i’m using spectro jel and neutrogena acne stress control spot treatment, and it’s working FARELY well, but i still have under-my-skin bumps on my nose and forehead,a single cystic blemish, and 1 or 2 white heads. sadly, this is the closest i’ve been to clear for awhile. my skin is ( most of the time)normal, not oily, and not dry, but it does get dry from certain products and i hate the way the flaky skin looks under make-up. So, as u see i’m getting very fusterated with my skin and I can’t order any proactive or other products for a couple months , which means ugly skin for a couple months:( so please tell me your goods, and if neccesary i can get ahold of mosturizers if it dries my skin out, but I’m really trying to avoid that since it will cause more pimples. ok well goodluck

you also may want to invest in a good skin cleaser… i personally use aveda… it is rather pricey… but i like it… you can always try travel sizes to find one you like
