Does anone know if Minocycline affects your menstrual cycle/ period?
I have been taking Minocycline as acne treatment but since IvE been taking the medicine my period seems to have stopped but when I stopped the medicine, I had my period. So I think its the medicine I aM scared that it might have affected my reproductive system and I might never have a baby.
Minocycline is a tetracycline product and has been around for 30+ years so I doubt that it will cause problems with reproduction. If you become pregnant, I would stop the minocycline right away as I think it can cause teeth problems in the developing child, just like tetracycline can.
To get a difinitive answer to your question, call the nearest Poison Control Center, which also serves as a drug information center. Their staff can look it up real quick and give you an authoratitive answer.(they don’t mind answering questions like this, in their “down” time).

What is the most fastest/best acne cure that you’ve ever heard of?
Tell me what product is working best for you or great things you have heard about certain products. I have stubborn mild acne that I’ve used everything on. I’ve tried ProActiv, Stridex, Clearasil Wipes, Exfoliating Wash, Green Tea Cleanser, I also tried for about a day a detoxifying diet, and I just couldn’t do it. I can’t give up soda! lol. I’m assuming… that your acne isn’t really acne at all… it’s just minor to mild breakouts that occur with about 95% of 14 year olds. It has a TON to do with the fact that you have a significantly higher amount of estrogen surging in your body now. I’m assuming it’s on your cheeks too, perhaps where your cell phone sits on your face when you talk? Or maybe where you put your hands on your face in class when you’re bored? Your best bet is to get a mild cleanser (try Cetaphil, it’s recommended by dermatologists) and to wash when your skin is OILY. Make sure you wash your makeup off at night and after exercising. Some oil on your skin is normal, even healthy. If you overprocess your skin (wash it too much) you can cause your skin to become too dry and it’ll make extra oil to keep from drying out. Have you ever washed your face, and after you dried it, your skin just felt tight? The face wash was probably a little harsh on your skin. Always make sure to drink plenty of water and take a multivitamin, daily. I hope this helps!
