How To Clear Pores
How can I treat moderate acne with over the counter products?
I’m nineteen years old and I’m going through a really tough acne time. I never had a problem with it when I was younger but now I just can’t get passed it. It’s moderate. It’s mostly on the right side of my face.
I started using Neutrogena Acne Stress Control with Salicylic Acid. I used it for about 2 weeks and it didn’t work, if anything it made me break out more.
So today, I went out to the drugstore and bought Oxy Maximum Strength Acne Wash with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. Makes sense since Benzoyl dries up current acne and kills the bacteria. The thing that I’m worried about is if it will dry out my skin, and I have a feeling it will. I know it says to reduce the usage of it if it does. I wash my face twice a day; once in the morning and then once at night, sometimes more if I’m wearing makeup. If it does irritate my skin should I just wash it once a day? Or fill in my morning wash with a less potent product, like Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask that has 3.5% Benzoyl?
