Any advice to help with the flat red marks left after acne (I still have acne as well)? Also my cheeks and nose are pretty red, even in spots where I don’t have acne. Has anyone had this problem or known someone who has had this problem and have any suggestions? I’ve tried most of the popular options out there such as proactive, etc. I’ve also tried the “acne free in 3 days”, apple cider vinegar, as well as a bunch of other natural remedies to no avail. I’m 17 years old. My diet is pretty healthy and I excersise regulary so I’m not unhealthy in my habits. And from what I’ve read acne is still fairly common in adults so I’m starting to lose of hope of just “growing out of it”.
Mix nutmeg powder with a little unboiled milk and apply on acne or pimples and wash after an hour this remedy when done once or twice a week will not leave any acne marks on the skin . More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
Has anyone tried using a crushed aspirin mask for acne/oily skin?
Did it work for you?
Are there any side effects; does it dry out your skin?
Also, does it work on clogged pores? (My pores are SO clogged, always, and I’ve tried everything but this technique to make them go away.)
I already know how to make the stuff.
I used crushed aspirin for the redness around my pimples, which kind of worked. But it does burn. It doesn’t dry out your skin so there is no harm in trying it.
Good luck
Red acne scars…. Are home kits really enough to help?
About 6-9 months ago i broke out in loads of spots (due to starting on the pill grr) and am now left with some red marks/acne scars on my face. I couple of weeks ago i started using bio-oil for the scars but not seeing improvements yet. I’m thinking of having microdermabrasion done proffesionally, but wondering if any home kits can help me??
How may treatment do you think i’ll need? Just i’m a student and saving to visit boyfriend in another country in a few 4/5 months to i’ll need to budget for it (which is why i desperately want hem gone lol). I’m 19 so my skin should heal quite quickly. Do you think i could get away with just 1 or 2 proffesional and continue with home kits like DermaNew?
p.s. i don’t have any probem with acne now, just scars.
By scars, i mean they are simply red marks, not indented or anything
If you can afford it, the best thing would be to see a dermatologist to get rid of the scars.
If not, use a microderm abbrasion system (in stores or from Avon) and use the cream or lotion provided with it or recommended for it. Be Patient and keep using it!!!
And, AVOID THE SUN!!! Always use sunscreen to prevent wrinkles and worsening of scars. Especially with microderm abbra., you will get sun spots without sunscreen. Make sure to use enough of the sunscreen aswell.
I wish you well.
