Treatment For Adolescent Acne
Embarrassing shoulder acne?
I’m 13 years old, and obviously going through my “adolescent” stages. I swim 5 days a week, and have to show my shoulders constantly. I’m so self-conscious and everywhere I walk I think, “I hope no one thinks I’m disgusting, oh please God don’t make them think I’m disgusting.” I even like a boy on my team, and it’s the worst thing ever for them to see. I’ve tried different stuff, and I think I’m on a treatment that’s going to work, but it will take a while. I’ve got a swim meet tomorrow, and I need some words to help me forget my shoulder acne, and just have fun and not be self conscious. I feel horrible and so ugly right now. I want it to go away. 
Well, sweetie… you recognize that you’re going through an “adolescent” stage. Well… I can promise you — even if it’s not as obvious to you — all the other kids in your class are going through something similar. You’re not horrible. You’re not ugly. This is something almost all of us have had at one point in our lives. Just remember that it will pass.
But I wanted to give you a bit of advice that helped me through my own stages (yea, I had body acne too. I understand completely!) See if you can’t get a bottle of unsulphured molasses. You can usually find this in a health food store. Mix one or two tablespoons into a glass of milk (or soy milk or — if you’re a brave girl — just down them) a day. This gets rid of acne quickly by helping it to heal from the inside out.
