acne while pregnant? please help?
i’ve been having acne lately.
i’ve always had a little but not so many at one time.
i wanted to get proactive but was told not to use it while pregnant, i wanted to go to the dermatologist
but i don’t know if my insurance covers it =(
any help on how to treat my acne?
i had horrible acne while i was pregnant. i couldnt believe how bad it was.

I would talk to your OB. There are some antibiotics that are safe during pregnancy that could help a lot. Also, a product without salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide should be good, such as ST. Ives gentle scrub with glycolic acid. Glycolic acid is natural and safe. Wash your face twice a day, use a topical agent such as tea tree oil or Eyes Lips Face’s acne spot treatment ($1 and it has natural ingredients like whitch hazel and tea tree oil). Apply the spot treatment 3-5 times a day or as needed. Also, do a mask once or twice a week. One with clay in it is good. Be sure to moisturize too. The store brand of cetaphil is good. Just use a small dab and apply to dry areas. Good luck! Definitely talk to your doctor!
